<![CDATA[Poof Poof Pat Hemp Oil is where its at!]]>Mon, 19 Aug 2019 16:37:28 GMThttp://quencequan.com/journey/poof-poof-pat-hemp-oil-is-where-its-at

So let's talk HEMP

Some of you might be thinking, why all the sudden is Hemp Oil all the rage? How is this possible when marijuana is still FEDERALLY illegal? Is it really possible to add hemp to our daily grooming regiment and not be arrested?

New hemp oil users have real valid questions. Using hemp oil can feel like dirty little secret. Well we here at Quence & Quan are here to shed some light because we are adding this product to our line up.

With the legalization and/or decriminalization of marijuana most thought WOW, now marijuana is good for the hair and skin?? Uhhh I don't know about marijuana being good for the hair and skin, but hemp oil definitely is. Marijuana and Hemp Oil are different beast with very close relations. Kind of like the zygote and a human, with Hemp seeds being the zygote and marijuana being the human.

First of all, let's pause and pat everyone on that back who remembered what a Zygote is from 6th grade science, cause I am definitely patting myself on the back YASSSSS!!!

Ok, back to the facts. Why oh why do we love hemp oil, personal thought.... for some, its cm away from being illegal but NOPE, its not. That's right it is 100% legal.

In 2018, President Donald Trump signed a Farm Bill allowing hemp to be cultivated and distributed in the United States. Since then fans of the organic life are loving and RAVING about the benefits of hemp. From its topical benefits, to the benefits when ingested, this tiny little seed packs a big punch.

Since its legal debut in the U.S., USDA Nutrition Data lists it as the #1 seed with the most protein. That's right, its packing that protein! If for nothing else, we had to add it to our hair growth line up just for that reason.

You see, our hair is made of up keratin, which about 88% protein. So when you think about products to grow hair, it should have what our hair needs and craves and that's protein. The Omega 3, Omega 6 and Vitamin should make it one of your tops oils to try. For us at Quence & Quan BRING ON THE HEMP!

Some customers have asked if rubbing hemp oil on skin, putting it in hair or ingesting it will cause negative results when taking drug tests. Quick answer, No. According to the Drug Policy Alliance, Hemp seeds are non-psychoactive. They have such little amounts of THC it makes it impossible to get you high, and never enough to exceed the levels looked for in federal drug testing programs.

So throw those excuses out the window and give Quence & Quan hemp oil a try.

<![CDATA[Pumpkin is not just for Autumn]]>Tue, 16 Jul 2019 12:49:52 GMThttp://quencequan.com/journey/pumpkin-is-not-just-for-the-autumn

Pumpkin hasn't gotten its just desserts!
Depending on your feelings, pumpkin is best known as fall treat acquired at Starbucks, a lovely carving tradition shared with kids for Halloween, or a the fall aroma of spiced pumpkin. But let's not lock this great oil into just one season when its awesome benefits can be helpful all year round.

Little known, are the HUGE benefits pumpkin has to offer the hair, the skin, the body YOU NAME IT... so let's get into it. After we crack this nut, pumpkin oil will be your new go to oil.

Look + Smell
Do not be fooled by imposters filled with chemicals and other harmful additives. Quence & Quan pumpkin oil is 100% and Cold Pressed. You might have already heard the term 'Cold Pressed', but maybe this is your first time hearing it, so let me explain...

Cold Pressed is the process of extracting oil from seeds at low temperatures. Now you might say, why does that matter? It matters because all oils have a "smoke point". The smoke point is the point where the natural nutrients that are found in seeds can be burned away if the smoke point is exceeded. If you exceed an oils smoke point, while attempting to extract the oil from the seed you will lose some of its nutrients, making it no longer as beneficial as it could of been. Thus it is now an oil like any other and almost pointless to use.

Every seed has its own unique smoke point. The smoke point of pumpkin oil has been said to be around 250 degrees. This makes it very easy to lose the excellent abundance of healthy properties found in pumpkin seeds. But don't worry, it is easy to tell if you pumpkin oil is cold pressed. Cold pressed pumpkin oil is dark green in color and has a warm, light nutty aroma. Because of its color, and great benefits, many cultures have referred to this oil as "Green Gold" and rightfully so.

Pumpkin oil
is not a heavy oil like other oils (clears throat... coconut oil) so it will not your clog pores. It is packed with fatty acids and vitamins the the skin LOVESSSS, like:
      Vitamin A, C, E, K, Zinc, Omega 6, Omega 3, Biotin, Magnesium

OK... so listing those vitamins might mean nothing to you. You might be thinking, eh now I have to look them up to see what they do. Nope! I got you. The vitamins in pumpkin oil actually ramp up the collagen in skin and is often used as an anti-aging serum. You see, as you get older, the collagen and elastin in the middle layer of your skin slowly begin breaking down. So yeah, the tightness and the plumpness of your youth seems all but lost because age came in and it away. But pumpkin oil applied directly to skin helps with cell renewal and collagen production. It also brightens and smooths the skin. So though it is not magical, it begins its process of promoting cell repair and plumping of skin, while repairing dry skin.

Many cultures have also used pumpkin oil to treat acne and dry skin. So you see, Quence & Quan Pumpkin oil is indeed GREEN GOLD.

Research by the University of Maryland Medical Center, show the omega 6 fatty acids are vital to help stimulate hair growth. The vitamin E and Omega 3 fatty acids are essential for hair growth. The oil can decrease the production of the enzyme, 5 alpha reductase, that is responsible for slowing hair growth. So what does all that mean. The vitamins and nutrients found in Quence & Quan pumpkin oil help feed the hair wonderful benefits that fight properties that build up to slow hair growth. Pumpkin oil properties naturally block DHT (Dihydro-testosterone). DHT can be found in adrenal glands and hair follicles-- it is known to block the growth of hair. It can be produced by your body everyday. Though it does not cause hair loss, both WebMD and The American Hair Loss Association state the relationship between DHT and hereditary hair loss.

So now that I hit you with some of the science and facts lets get into the fun stuff. Quence & Quan pumpkin oil is great as a hot oil solution. It is packed with protein, that promotes the repair of hair cuticles and scalp. No need to mix this green gold, warm it up and use as is:

          1. Shampoo your hair like normal. Avoid putting product in hair afterward
         2. Gently warm Quence & Quan Pumpkin oil (remember: low burning point)
         3. Test a few drops of the oil on the inside of your wrist to make sure the oil isn’t too hot
         4. Wet hair and massage warm oil into strands. Oil should be pleasantly warm, not hot
         5. Once applied, cover hair and sit for at least 20 minutes.
Option: Remove towel, then shampoo, condition, and style

But don't think a hot oil solution is the solution. It is not the only way to achieve your hair goals. This wonderful oil can also be used daily, and directly on the scalp. Just like you feed yourself, your hair needs to be fed as well. So giving it Quence & Quan pumpkin oil is a great way to ensure nutrients are provided directly to the scalp. When using this oil as a topical hair solution, you want to massage it into the scalp. Don't forget this step, it is crucial to achieving hair goals. Massaging the scalp increases blood flow and allows the scalp to absorbs nutrients quicker. Don't allow it to just sit there, put it work. It doesn't give you all of its benefits if its not absorbed by hair follicles so make sure it goes to the right place. MASSAGE, MASSAGE, MASSAGE!
